I have made a refill order and received my full cylinders. When should I return my empty cylinders to Aarke?

As soon as possible is best. From the receipt date you will have 7 days to send us back your empty cylinders using the same exchange box. If you don’t, we will have to charge you €30 per cylinder for non-return. But don’t worry if you forget: We will send you return reminder to make sure this does not happen.

Why does a charge for non-return apply if I don't send back my empty cylinders to Aarke on time?

The reason for this is that we offer a gas cylinder refill at a cheaper price than if you would be buying a completely new cylinder. Receiving back empty cylinders is essential for us to enable a smooth refill service for all our customers. Therefore, if you don't return the corresponding number of empty cylinders to us on time, we would need to produce new empty cylinders to fill with CO2 gas. This is why a charge for non-return applies if you decide to order a refill and receive full gas cylinders from us without returning empty cylinders back to us.

How do I know if the gas cylinder is empty and ready to be returned?

The water will no longer become bubbly when you’re going through the usual carbonation steps. Before exchanging the empty cylinder, or putting it into the exchange box, you can double check that it is completely empty by depressing the center pin with a spoon. Any remaining CO2 will be removed then. We recommend buying 1 extra cylinder , so that you always have one full one to power your sparkling water maker. This way you won't have to wait until all your cylinders are empty to place a refill order.

How many cylinders can be refilled at a time?

At the moment, 2 empty gas cylinders can be exchanged for full ones at a time. We are looking into providing the possibility of exchanging more cylinders at a time soon and you will see this option on this page once it's added. We recommend buying 1 extra cylinder , so that you always have one full one to power your sparkling water maker. This way you won't have to wait until all your cylinders are empty to place a refill order.

How long does the shipping take for refill orders?

Once you place the order and receive the order confirmation by email, the delivery time will then be 3-5 business days. When this new order is on its way, you will receive an e-mail with a tracking link.
