The Aarke stainless steel Kettle is designed with a heat-safe handle, which will not get hot. Our Kettle is designed to easily handle with one hand, which means you won’t need to touch the body of the Kettle, which, naturally for stainless steel, does get hot as the water inside it heats up.

We therefore recommend being cautious and not touching the body of the Kettle after boiling and, as with any kettle, keeping it away from the reach of small children.

The Kettle is made of stainless steel with lid-seal and feet for stability in BPA-free silicone rubber.

No plastic gets in contact with your drinking water in the Aarke Kettle, only stainless steel and food-grade BPA-free silicone rubber in the bottom sensor seal. The lid seal is also made in BPA-free silicone rubber and only gets in contact with the vapor.

The Kettle is made of high-quality stainless steel, which not only reduces the use of plastic but is also a more durable and hygienic alternative to Kettles in plastic. Compared to other common kettles, even the removable limescale filter is plastic free, made in 100% stainless steel.

The Aarke Kettle has been tested and approved according to FDA Food Safety, California Proposition 65 and German LFGB compliance.

The Aarke Kettle is 27 cm high with a width (incl. handle) of 19 cm and diameter of 14 cm. It weighs 1.66 kg. The cord length is 75 cm. A built-in cord winder in the bottom of the power base allows you to hide some of the cord to make it shorter.

The Kettle has indicators of minimum and maximum water level inside. The minimum water level is 0,5 L (16,9 fl oz) and maximum water level is 1,2 L (40.6 fl oz).

This depends on the hardness of the water that is being used, which varies a lot in different areas and cities. Therefore we can not generally define how long it will take for limescale to build up. In general, we recommend descaling your Kettle once every two months.

If you know that your area’s water has high limescale content, we recommend filtering the water with Aarke Purifier and Pure filter granules (which reduce 90-100% of limescale, depending on the water quality) before pouring it into the Kettle to avoid quick limescale build up and provide you with cleaner, better tasting water.

The beeping notification can be disabled by a long press of the power base button. When the beeping notification is turned off this is indicated by one single beep.

If you decided to turn off the sound signal, an LED-light on the base will let you know when the Kettle has reached your selected temperature setting. It blinks in the process of heating up the water and becomes stable when the set temperature is reached.

It means that the dry boil protection has been enabled, most likely because there was no or too little water when you tried to boil the Kettle.

To restore the normal functionality of the Kettle:

1. Please remove the Kettle from the base and let it cool down for 15 minutes (please do not pour any water inside until fully cooled down).

2. Then, unplug the base from the power outlet and wait for the lights to stop blinking.

3. After the lights have stopped blinking the base can be plugged back in and, once it has fully cooled down, the Kettle can be placed back on the base and used as usual.

4. Please make sure the amount of water you’re heating up is always above the minimum line.

Note: If any solids have stained the bottom of the Kettle, before the dry boil protection was enabled, let the Kettle cool down for at least 15 minutes and scrub it off with a dishwashing sponge. Rinse clean, before using the Kettle again.
