What materials is the Aarke Kettle made of?

Does any plastic get in contact with water in the Aarke Kettle?

The Aarke Kettle is primarily made of high-quality stainless steel, with an inner-lid structure in food-grade BPA-free plastic and some details in food-grade BPA-free silicone rubber. The water in the Kettle will come in direct contact with the stainless steel inside and the silicone rubber in the temperature sensor seal, while steam from the heated water may condense at the top and come in contact with the lid-seal in silicone rubber and the inner-lid structure in plastic. The Kettle is made of high-quality stainless steel, which not only reduces the use of plastic but is also a more durable and hygienic alternative to kettles in plastic. Compared to other common kettles, even the removable limescale filter is plastic free, made in 100% stainless steel. Kettle has been tested and approved according to the FDA Food Safety, California Proposition 65 and LFGB Food Safety requirements.

How quickly does limescale build up in the Kettle?

This depends on the hardness of the water that is being used, which varies a lot in different areas and cities. Therefore we can not generally define how long it will take for limescale to build up. In general, we recommend descaling your Kettle once every two months. If you know that your area’s water has high limescale content, we recommend filtering the water with Aarke Purifier and Pure filtergranules (which reduce 90-100% of limescale, depending on the water quality) before pouring it into the Kettle to avoid quick limescale build up and provide you with cleaner, better tasting water.

Does the Kettle have an indicator of the water level inside?

Yes. The Kettle has indicators of minimum (0,5 L) and maximum water level (1,2 L).

What size is the Aarke Kettle?

The Aarke Kettle is 27 cm high with a width (incl. handle) of 19 cm and diameter of 14 cm. It weighs 1.66 kg. The cord length is 75 cm.

This electric kettle boasts variable temperature settings: 40°, 75°, 85°, 95° and 100°C. We added a memory function for extra convenience - the Kettle will remember the setting you picked last time.

LED temperature indicator makes setting selection easy and intuitive and shows temperature as the Kettle cools down.

Easy cleaning

We purposely designed our electric
stainless steel kettle with a wide opening and seamless surfaces for easy cleaning. Compared to most conventional kettles, the heating element in the Aarke Kettle is hidden, making the cleaning process even smoother.

Aarke tip: if your water has a lot of limescale, use the Kettle with our Purifier water filter and forget about regular kettle limescale cleanups.
