Here’s how to clean and take care of your Aarke glass bottle, to make sure it stays nice and fresh for everyday use. Spoiler: You can clean it in the dishwasher...
Rinse the bottle with lukewarm water before use. After you’ve enjoyed your sparkling water and the bottle is empty, we recommend rinsing it again and letting it dry naturally by placing the bottle upside down (with the cap off) on a drying rack.
Once dry, store it with the cap off to avoid trapping residual moisture inside.
You can clean the Aarke glass bottle in the dishwasher. It’s made of sturdy glass and engineered to withstand high temperatures used in most modern dishwashers. However, the dishwasher setting you choose should not be higher than 70°C (158°F). We recommend consulting your dishwasher’s manual and use the setting advised for glassware.
To clean the glass bottle manually, fill it halfway with warm water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Then, put your hand over the top of the bottle and shake it thoroughly. If you want to use a bottle cleaning brush, make sure it doesn’t have hard or sharp metal bristles to avoid small scratches.
Rinse several times to make sure there is no dishwashing liquid left inside the bottle. Then place the glass bottle on the drying rack with the cap off.
To protect and prolong the lifespan of your glass bottle, it’s important to avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. Therefore, please don’t put the Aarke glass bottle in the freezer. Ever.
We also recommend checking the bottle regularly for dents and cracks. If you notice that the bottle has been cracked, please stop using it for safety reasons. You can recycle a damaged glass bottle in facilities that accept clear glass.
